Coralline Algae Weakened by Ocean Acidification
A type of seaweed called coralline algae forms beautiful, sparkling beds of “coral” off the western U.K. These are home to a huge amount of marine life. Until now, these beds have been resilient, but a recent study says that they are being weakened by acidification in the ocean.
