Phytoplankton and NASA: Agency Captures Rare Biology Photo in Fall
Using a special imaging radiometer suite, NASA was able to capture an image not usually photographed well in fall–phytoplankton, the microscopic organisms that power carbon cycling in the ocean. The result shows the link between ocean physics and biology.
